A place to store those tall tricky toy cars (or tractors or whatever else is too tall!)

After so much success with the release of the following Toy Car storage shelves, I decided to design this expansion compartment to attach to the top of the shelf, allowing you to store those tricky cars that are just a little bit too tall/long to fit in the regular slots. It is simple to install, just place in the centre on top of your original shelf, and secure in place using the 3 screw holes provided.

The internal height of the expansion compartment is 10cm, which should allow you to store significantly taller cars than the slots in the base shelf - but please make sure to measure the height of your cars before purchasing, as there may still be some very tall cars that wont fit. Please also keep in mind that this is only taller and longer; it doesn't come out from the wall any further than the original shelf, so this may not help with super wide cars - it's designed for the taller vehicles. Also, the expansion is approximately 39cm wide, which is slightly smaller than both my 24 and 36 car shelves, allowing you to place it in the centre without looking odd!

Fitting Instructions: As with the original shelf, the screw holes are countersunk to a diameter of 8mm and the hole for the screw is 4mm - Please make sure the screws you use are appropriately sized - screws are not included. Ensure the expansion bay is mounted safely and securely. When fastening the screws, ensure they meet the countersink but do not apply too much force or the plastic may crack. If you are not confident fitting something like this, please have a professional help you to ensure safe mounting.

Important Notes: Cars in the images are not included. Whilst I do everything I can to dial in my printers to produce the best quality possible, there may still be some visible layer and seam lines and minor surface imperfections from printing. Also, sometimes filament needs to be changed mid print so the colour may shift ever so slightly in hue. PLA should not be exposed to high temperatures for prolonged periods as it can warp and lose its shape, please do not mount above radiators etc.
